Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is an American performer, actress and model. She was a model for a while before becoming an actress. Her name was associated with her as the co-star in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain, and the lead singer of the girl group Apollonia 6 Apollonia, a singer/actress born to Prince in 1984, became one of many female musicians of the 80s who benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica, California in the year 1959. Her professional career began as a model in the latter part of 1970. Kotero also was a guest on CHiPS. The lead female character in Prince's Purple Rain was her first performance from the year 1984. Prince changed the girl's name during this time. She replaced Vanity by the female group Vanity 6 who performed in the movie with Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. Her performance had more influence on the charts by being Prince's partner on Take Me with You, which was a duet in his soundtrack. The two were disagreement about the direction of her career Apollonia 6 broke up, and Kotero ended her association with Prince. In the wake of appearing in minor film (and reportedly refusing to be a part on The Purple Rain film Under the Cherry Moon) She was cast in the 1985-1986 evening drama Falcon Crest. Apollonia was finally able to release her debut album in 1988, but the comparatively insignificant collection of songs that incorporated dance/R&B did not make much impression on people who buy music and the album soon vanished out of sight. The singer remained busy (if a little under the radar) as an actress during the ensuing decade with small television roles and minor films and released videos for exercises. Apollonia made a bilingual CD called Stay with Me in 1997. After returning to school, she and received a degree in filmmaking. Then she founded her business and was employed in children's TV. Apollonia is a multi-faceted person. She's worked as model, actress as well as a the talent manager. She is best known as an actress for her part in the movie Purple Rain from 1984.
