Awkwafina She is an American actor and musician who made her name with witty lyrics that explored racial and sexual identity with humor that was bold and witty. After that, she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her initial exposure to music stemmed via the trumpet. The musician also had the classical and jazz education later becoming a hip-hop teenager. At college, she concentrated on her studies and majored in women's and journalism. For a brief period of time in Beijing and she also took classes in Mandarin. Following graduation, she decided to devote her time to music. In 2012, her song My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet which led to her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also included popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The latter track was associated with Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. In addition to being a writer and musician among her accomplishments, she determined to pursue the role of a third-party actor. She's appeared in movies such as Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018 she landed breakthrough roles in a handful of famous films such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP In Fina We Trust.
